Dawn and her husband Ross came to First Evan in 1994 and were FEC workers with TEAM in Chad and the Middle East at TEAM’s headquarters in Illinois from 1997 until Ross’s death in 2011. Dawn was approved by First Evan as a worker with OM in 2018.

Dawn is a Family Nurse Practitioner and uses her skills with people in the Middle East. She speaks English, Spanish, French and Arabic. She is working at a community center that offers ESL classes and a women’s program of exercise and health information/coaching, including training several young women in basic community health and First Aid in the city where she lives as well as in Bedouin areas and villages nearby. She has also developed a curriculum named, “Medical Arabic for Expats” which many medical missionaries are using to assist them in their various medical ministries in the Arabic speaking world. Dawn has three adult sons, Joshua, Kyle and David. Due to security reasons where she lives, her picture is not shown.

Her current ministry goals are to continue growing in the love and knowledge of Christ and to continue fluency in the Arabic language. She continues to work with language tutors and training and teaching health principles with the goal of sharing spiritual principles and seeing Jesus followers among the least reached.
