Fletcher grew up at First Evan. He is the son of Fletcher and Judy Maynard, and the grandson of Dottie Barry.

Fletcher and Mary Elizabeth are missionaries to international students with a team called International Friends at UNC-Chapel Hill. They seek to Win students to Christ, Build them up in their faith, and Send them back to their homeland equipped to make disciples in their spheres of influence.
Their current ministry goals are to see a surprising number of people come to faith this year, for the Great Commission to be wrapped up locally and around the world --“Whatever it takes Lord to finish the Great Commission”, and to keep trusting God for big things.
