Roger and Abi Lowther

Aidan, Eastin, Coen, Kaizen

Mission to the World | Tokyo, Japan

Roger & Abi are musicians, and moved to Japan in 2005 to reach Japanese with the Gospel through music and the arts. Their current focus is on ministries surrounding the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games, including GRACE2020 90 Days of Prayer Campaign, REACH Conference, and building and providing performers for a network of ministry hubs around Tokyo.

Roger is the Faith and Art Director at Grace City Church, Tokyo; Team Leader of Community Arts Tokyo, MAKE Collective International Coordinator (a worldwide network of missionary artists), and is half-way through studying for a Master of Arts in Theological Studies through Reformed Theological Seminary Global.

Abi is the Worship Director at Grace City Church, and is on MTW’s Asia Pacific Leadership Team. The Lowthers are currently on a 6-month furlough in Boston, MA where their oldest son, Aidan, is attending Gordon College.

Their current ministry goals are to look for a more sustainable (financial) model for their church, such as meeting in smaller groups and only gathering as one church once a month, to produce more music videos and worship music, publishing more books, and growing the publishing house.

Roger was First Evan’s organist from 2002-2005. He and Abi have been First Evan missionaries since 2009.
