FEC KIDS

Rooted and grounded in love … Ephesians 3:17

Roots. Shoots. Fruits.

FEC Kids is a praying community committed to planting Gospel seeds and cultivating a grace-filled environment where those seeds can…

  • Take Root in God’s word, in their savior Jesus Christ, and in His Church.

  • Grow Shoots with the support of faithful teachers and Biblical discipleship.

  • Produce Fruits by God’s grace and through His Holy Spirit.

All people are made in God’s image, and all are designed to worship our loving & good triune God in the community of His people, the Church. Building the habit of church attendance for your family will benefit adults and children alike.

Who are our Teachers?

FEC Kids teachers are church members who volunteer their time to plan lessons, pray over, build relationships with, and teach the Bible to the children at First Evan. Why? Because they love the Lord, they love His Church, and they love your kids!!!

Our teachers are background checked, trained, & experienced. More importantly, however, each individual is in the word and in prayer, knowing that Christ has called us to “make disciples… teaching them to observe all that I have commanded” (Matt. 28:19-20). While we take the Lord’s command seriously, we also have a lot of fun while we are obeying Him! As Scripture says, “his commands are not burdensome” (1 John 5:3). We joyfully welcome all kids in Jesus name! Hope to see you Sunday!!

A Scriptural Focus… Ephesians 3:14-21 (esv)

“For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory, he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, through faith— that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”

Child Dedication & Baptism:

“For this child I prayed…” 1 Sam 1:27

First Evan regularly offers child dedication and baptism services during congregational worship. We want parents and kids alike to feel the encouragement of both their church body and the Lord in committing to faithfully raise kids to know and love Jesus.

When a child is ready for baptism with the support of their parents, our pastors will joyfully walk each family through that process. It is a special time of commitment to the Lord Jesus for the individual, the family, and the Church.
