Pace McKee

Senior Pastor

Pace was born in Napa, California in 1989.  He spent his childhood growing up in Kansas and Tennessee.  While attending the University of Kansas he became involved with The Navigators.  This ministry transformed his faith and was his first introduction to living missionally for the sake of the advancement of the Gospel.  After graduating from the University of Kansas with degrees in Economics and History, he moved to Houston, Texas to work at Second Baptist Church.  Before becoming the ninth pastor of First Evangelical Church in 2024, Pace served on staff at Harvest Church in Germantown, Tennessee.

Pace has a Master of Divinity which he received from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.    He is currently in the doctoral program with research interests in family discipleship and Puritan theology.  He is passionate about discipling men to be faithful churchman, devoted disciple-makers, and loving husbands and fathers.

Jenn and Pace were married in 2014 and have three children:  J. Thomas, Kenton, and Lawrence.  They enjoy spending time as a family, reading good books, and cheering on the Jayhawks.  You might also catch Jenn and Pace sneaking away for a nice dinner and a show at the Orpheum.

Pace’s hope for First Evan is that we will be a church that treasures God’s Word deeply, passes down the faith to the next generation, prays fervently for one another, and proclaims the Gospel to the ends of the earth.  In doing so, may we fulfill our Mission Statement—to glorify Jesus Christ and magnify His gospel in all of life until He comes.
